Wow, finally a restaurant that lives up to all the hype.
Frances. Located on 17th Street in between Noe and Sanchez. The occasion? MeMe Pedersons birthday. We experienced nearly everything on the menu from Bacon Beignets, Semolina Gnocchi, Seared Scallops, to fresh crab salads. We also enjoyed two white wines from Greece and a gorgeous red from Sicily.
The servers were attentive and always there when needed but
never overbearing. With nearly everyone at the table being intimately involved in the food industry, I would say that we were a discerning crowd but Frances made for a delightful evening in every way. Happy Birthday MeMe!
